Keto Avocado Pops? You might be scratching your head right now if you aren’t familiar with a keto diet. A keto diet is similar to the Atkins diet. It’s very low carb, and people who follow a keto diet cut back on things like refined sugar and wheat. Some people find it to be an effective weight loss diet, while others follow it for different health-related reasons.
In any case, that’s probably not what you’re going to be thinking about when you taste these Keto Avocado Pops. I know it was about the furthest thing from my mind. They really do taste that good.
True confession: I love avocados. And I love coconut. So as far as I’m concerned, there was little room here for anything to go wrong. And if you’re wondering, yes, avocado lends itself wonderfully to recipes like this. It’s smooth and cream, making it the perfect texture for blending and freezing into popsicles.
Avocados and coconuts are also excellent sources of healthy fats. Does it get any better than the idea of enjoying homemade popsicles on a lazy afternoon? It does when those popsicles are also as healthy as these are!
I should also mention that dipping these Keto Avocado Pops in chocolate is absolutely not necessary. It’s delicious, yes. And it’s kind of a fun activity to do with kids. However, don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything if you don’t dip. These pops truly are a tasty treat with or without the chocolate. For that matter, they’re a tasty treat whether you use a sugar alternative or opt for pure maple syrup.
I suppose what I’m saying is that I think you’ll love these no matter how you decide to serve them!
