Truffles
If you’re looking for a party favor, a holiday gift, or just a sweet treat to offer your guests after dinner, you’ve found it! Around the holidays, I gather my girlfriends to have a truffle-making, wine-drinking get-together. We then package them up and give them to the mailman, neigh bors, dog walkers, and so on.
- Prep Time: 40 minutes
- Chill Time: 2 hours
- Total Time: 2 hours 40 minutes
- Yield: 25 truffles 1x
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup Nutella
- 2 cups milk chocolate melting chips
- 2 cups chopped candy- coated honey-roasted or butter toffee peanuts
Instructions
- Put the dark chocolate chips in a large heatproof glass bowl.
- Heat the heavy whipping cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes. When hot, pour over the chocolate in the bowl and whisk to combine. Add the Nutella and continue to whisk until incorporated. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours to set.
- Once set, roll the mixture into 25 balls and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate on 50% power in 30-second increments, stirring in between each, until melted. Dip each truffle into the chocolate using a fork and roll them in a bowl with the chopped nuts.
