Dirt Cup
I teach first graders about healthy eating, and recently when describing root vegetables, I ex plained that you are eating what is underground in the dirt. One smart kid was eager to remind me that we are not supposed to eat dirt. I asked, “What about dirt cups?” Without a doubt, the class knew what those were! As a child I ate these, and it is fun to see that kids still do. I am determined to keep the worms in and carry on the tradition.
