When we hear the word salsa, there are two things that often come to mind. One is the sensuous Latin dance, while the other is the bright red, tomato-based sauce made with tomatoes, onions, and chiles. Just as salsa dancing can come in different forms, so can the sauce!
This Grape and Avocado Salsa can make you dance to a different culinary beat as it’s relatively easy to prepare and even easier to enjoy! Grapes and avocado are a wonderful pairing as their contrasting textures and flavors make for an interesting combination. You’ve got the soft, creamy, slightly nutty and buttery avocado melting in your mouth alongside the crisp, juicy, sweet-tart goodness of fresh grapes. You have something to chew on and something to savor all at once, which is a pleasant surprise for the palate!
Adding to this already wonderful combination are yellow and red bell peppers, which aren’t just for decoration. Both have varying degrees of fruitiness that offer a really nice flourish to the flavors of grape and avocado. Some chopped sweet onions, cilantro, lime juice, garlic salt, and ground black pepper harmonize the different textures and tastes, bringing your Grape and Avocado Salsa together.
As a salsa, this side is definitely something you should have on hand when you’re ready to enjoy a bagel or some tortilla chips. You can also level up your fish and chicken dishes if you serve them up with this yummy Grape and Avocado Salsa. Whether you’re having a regular meal at home or you’re gearing up for the next get-together, this recipe is a definite crowd-pleaser!
