And you thought blackberry jam was only for toast! Here it is stirred up with a few spicy ingredients to make a sweet, pungent sauce that’s great for pork, chicken, or ribs.
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: Makes 2 cups 1x
- Category: Sides & Sauces
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup blackberry preserves
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 small green onions, minced
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
- 1 pinch smoked sea salt
Instructions
- Stir ketchup, blackberry preserves, bourbon, green onions, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and sea salt together in a bowl. Because this is a sweet sauce and will burn if cooked too long or over too high heat, use to baste during the last few minutes of grilling.
