Traditional Spice Bars
Pecans and golden raisins add the chew and crunch we love in a traditional spice bar. These are wonderful to have on hand for friends and family during the holiday season.

- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and honey.
- Add the flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, baking soda, and salt and mix well.
- Add the eggs, pecans, and raisins and mix well.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until set. Cut into squares and serve.
