5-Minute Grape Sorbet

Grape Sorbet

Some of the best dishes can take more than a day to make, while others only need a couple of minutes — like this 5-Minute Grape Sorbet!

Well, okay, it takes a little more than five minutes to actually make this decadent sorbet, but you only need four ingredients and much of the waiting time is simply from freezing the grapes to give them a firm texture. Otherwise, you’ve got yourself a quick, refreshingly good frozen dessert that can cool off any hot day!

Green grapes work best for this recipe because not only are they wonderfully bright and juicy, but they’ve got that sweet-tart punch that pairs nicely with a dash of honey or sugar. I’m a little more partial to honey because it’s easier to blend in the food processor than sugar, though both will yield an equally delectable result. It really depends on what makes your taste buds happy!

A teaspoon of lemon zest and lemon juice brightens up the grape’s already vibrant flavor, making this sorbet a delightful treat that will make you crave seconds.

Smooth, savory, and sumptuous — this is what this 5-Minute Grape Sorbet is all about! Aside from enjoying it as a dessert, you can have it as a special little snack even when it isn’t hot. It’s definitely a recipe for all seasons, and you can get creative by pouring your sorbet into cute little cups or elegant glasses. It’s going to be a hit with both kids and adults, so if you have a family brunch coming up, you can add this delicious, nutritious, 5-Minute Grape Sorbet into the menu!

  • Yield: 5 1x
  • Category: Desserts

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups green grapes
  • 1 dash of sugar or honey to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry de-stemmed grapes.
  2. Arrange grapes in a single layer on a jelly-roll pan.
  3. Freeze the pan of grapes for at least four hours, until they are firm.
  4. Blend the ingredients: In a food processor, puree the frozen grapes, scraping down the sides of the processor as needed. Add the remaining ingredients, and continue to puree until everything is smooth. Once everything is blended, it’s ready to enjoy!

Have you tried this recipe? It’s so easy and delicious—please tell us how it turned out for you.

What’s the most popular fruit in the world? If you guessed oranges, apples, or bananas, you’d be wrong—it’s the fabulous grape! Because of its many uses (hello, wine!) and the number of countries that can grow grapes, the world totals some 72 million tons of grapes grown annually. In the Great Grapes Gardening Guide, you’ll learn everything you need to grow this versatile fruit.

Easy and Delicious. I made from our organic Kyohoo purple grapes. Usually when we eat them fresh we have to spit out the slightly bitter peeling, but with this recipe we could gain the vitamins from the peeling and the color was great too!

Very good. Refreshing and easy. I halved the recipe and used 1 tsp of honey.

I’m glad you liked this recipe. I always keep frozen grapes in the freezer – they’re great for snacking or when you need to whip up a dessert for an unexpected occasion.
