Spiced Apple-Cinnamon Simple Syrup

This Spiced Apple-Cinnamon Simple recipe has become my secret weapon for elevating everyday drinks into something special, and it’s the key to what makes my Garden Party Spritzer absolutely unforgettable.

Fair warning: don’t start this recipe unless you’re prepared for everyone to wander into the kitchen asking what smells so amazing! I’ve actually started making double batches because my family keeps “sampling” it before I can even use it in drinks.

Here’s a little tip I discovered through trial and error: using a mix of apple varieties makes all the difference. I love combining sweet Honeycrisps with tart Granny Smiths – it gives you this perfect balance that really comes through in the Garden Party Spritzer. And those cinnamon sticks? Don’t be tempted to use ground cinnamon instead – the sticks give you this clean, pure flavor that’s just chef’s kiss.

The magic moment is when you’re simmering everything together, and the cloves and cinnamon start dancing with the apple essence. It’s like bottling comfort in a jar! Sometimes I’ll add an extra clove or two if I’m feeling adventurous, but be careful – those little guys are powerful!
