The Ruby Red Grapefruit Spritz was born on a day when I couldn’t decide between our Hibiscus-Lemongrass Tea Base and Watermelon-Mint Juice. Sometimes the best creations come from a moment of indecision, right? This drink proves that sometimes more really is more – but in the most elegant way possible.

Let me tell you about the flavor journey here. It starts with the deep, floral notes of the Hibiscus-Lemongrass Tea Base, then the Watermelon-Mint Juice sweeps in with its fresh sweetness, and finally, the grapefruit juice adds this perfect citrusy punch that makes everything pop. Each sip is like a little explosion of flavors that somehow work in perfect harmony.

The color of this drink is absolutely mesmerizing – it’s this gorgeous deep pink that looks like a sunset in a glass. I love watching people’s faces when they first see it; there’s always this moment of “Is it really going to taste as beautiful as it looks?” (Spoiler alert: it does!)

This has become my secret weapon for brunch gatherings. It’s sophisticated enough to feel special but refreshing enough to keep you coming back for more. The combination of hibiscus and grapefruit creates this wonderful tartness that wakes up your taste buds, while the watermelon adds just enough sweetness to keep everything balanced.

Here’s my favorite serving tip: layer the ingredients over ice rather than stirring them together. This creates beautiful color gradients in the glass, and as you sip, the flavors shift and change. I like to garnish with a grapefruit wheel and a sprig of fresh mint – the aromatics from the mint complement the lemongrass notes perfectly.
