White Spear Bunching Scallions

The White Spear Bunching scallion is a giant among scallions, growing almost as tall as Parade scallions. The White Spears grow with thick, white, cylindrical shanks 5 to 6 inches long, with 6 inches of tasty blue-green leaves. They’re cold-hardy if not winter-hardy. Take care of them and you’ll have scallions galore year-round!

Characteristics:

  • Can be perennial as far as zones 4 to 5
  • Very resistant to bulbing
  • Heat-tolerant
  • Resists leaf-curl in summer
  • 65 days to maturity

Have you ever grown White Spear scallions? Please tell us about your experiences with White Spear scallions.
