The Moonglow pear is a multi-purpose cultivar that produces a lot of fruit. In late summer, prepare to harvest a heavy crop of large, thin-skinned yellow pears with a red blush. The fruit is soft and juicy with excellent flavor. Moonglow pears are great for eating, canning, and preserves. The Moonglow needs a pollination buddy such as Bartlett or Orient. This cultivar is a vigorous tree and very resistant to fire blight.
