Hestia Brussels Sprouts

Hestia Brussels sprouts took the All-America Selections (AAS) award in the vegetable category in 2015. The plant produces bright green buds with a warm yellow interior. The heads grow to about an inch in diameter. Hestia is both heat and cold tolerant, so it’s suitable for a wide range of growing zones. Expect the plants to grow up to 3 feet tall. The sprouts have a delicious flavor that only improves when cooler weather arrives, so be patient with your picking. These sprouts store well and cook up nicely when you steam them.
