Vanilla Cherry Ice Cream

This recipe makes classic vanilla ice cream with a slight undertone of almond and dotted throughout with fresh cherry pieces. It will be a huge hit as dessert after your next summer party!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 14-ounce can condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pits removed and cut in quarters

Instructions

  1. Combine the heavy cream, condensed milk, vanilla, and almond extract in a bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Add cherries during the last few minutes. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
