Ham Salad with Pickle Relish

Ham is more than just holiday fare. Whatever the season, ham is always a versatile ingredient that can fit almost any recipe that calls for a rich, savory protein. Since ham has a distinctly sweet and slightly smoky flavor profile, the best way to enjoy it is to pair it with simple but equally flavorful ingredients. That’s exactly why a Ham Salad with Pickle Relish remains an all-time favorite.

You only need a handful of ingredients to make this salad, and each ingredient is selected to bring out the characteristic taste of ham while letting your palate enjoy something extra. Mayonnaise is a typical partner for ham, but adding some Miracle Whip into the mix gives off that added dose of sweetness and a hint of spice. Dijon mustard takes this to the next level with its sharp, tangy, and strong flavors with notes of mustard seed.

Not to be forgotten is sweet pickle relish, which is the game-changer in this salad! All at once, it’s tart, sweet, and salty, giving your Ham Salad with Pickle Relish that burst of flavor and added pop of color. With just a tablespoon of sweet pickle relish, you’ll have a delectable salad, or a savory spread that can be enjoyed with crackers and cheese.

Simple but rich with diverse flavors, Ham Salad with Pickle Relish can be your go-to salad when you want something super quick and hassle-free to make. It only takes five minutes to prepare, so you don’t have to worry if you’re up for seconds — or thirds! Don’t wait for the holidays to whip up a batch of this salad. Today is just as good as any to enjoy it!
