Lamb Hass Avocado.

 Lamb Hass avocados are larger than the common Hass variety, growing on productive, upright, compact trees. Lamb Hass matures later in the season than Hass. It has a pear or oval shape, distinguished from Hass by its flat, square shoulder. These avocados ripen during the summer months. Their skin is easily peeled from the flesh.

Characteristics:

• Type A
• Weighs 10 to 18 ounces
• Has pebbly skin that is very dark green, even before ripening, which will continue to darken to almost black
• Flesh is pale green and houses a medium-sized seed
• Flavor is rich and nutty, similar to Hass, and is smooth and creamy
