Bartender Mammoth radishes, a spring radish, look like pink carrots and grow about 9 inches long at their optimal length. Like carrots they are often served with dip or hummus and on veggie platters because of their sweet but also spicy flavor. They are heat-tolerant and can be planted comfortably in higher USDA planting zones.
