Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (such as spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
