Kebabs are probably one of the easiest and most fun snacks to make. Not only are kebabs delicious, but making them is also a great activity for someone who is just starting to learn how to cook. If you’re looking for a super easy kebab recipe, then these Grilled Shrimp Kebabs are just what you need! With a handful of ingredients and a short prep time, you can enjoy food that’s delicious, colorful, and healthy.
Large, deveined shrimp are naturally the star of the show when making these sumptuous Grilled Shrimp Kebabs. Grilling gives your shrimp a rather smoky taste. It also makes them tender and pleasantly firm at the same time. Packed with flavor and an irresistible hint of sweetness, shrimp is a protein that can ease novice cooks into the process since cooked shrimp turn a beautiful orange color once they’re ready to eat.
Because the shrimp is seasoned with lemon juice, salt, and pepper before grilling, you can definitely taste that subtle zesty tang in every bite. There’s also that pleasant combination of salty and peppery spice that enhances this seafood’s natural flavor.
Of course, you can’t have a kebab without veggies! Baby bell peppers and red onions are the perfect companions for your grilled shrimp. These two ingredients provide a nice contrast to the shrimp’s tenderness with their crunchy, slightly charred texture. More than just adding a touch of color, baby bell peppers also have a mild flavor that’s on the sweet side compared to regular-sized bell peppers. Onions, on the other hand, are a teensy bit spicy, which enhances the taste of the pepper seasoning.
It’ll only take around 10 minutes for your Grilled Shrimp Kebabs to cook through, and likely even less time to finish them all!
