Hercules dill

Do you want a lot of dill? Then plant Hercules. Like the mythical demi-god, this dill plant is vigorous and productive. The plant grows slowly, allowing for more leaf harvesting, and grows up to 30 inches high. The dark green leaves with a hint of blue have a strong flavor and fragrance that carries over when frozen.

Characteristics:

  • Leaves mature in 40 to 60 days; seeds mature in 90 to 100 days
  • Mature height: 30 inches
  • Attracts bees and butterflies
  • Very high yield
  • Slow growing
  • May need staking
  • Best fresh but freezes exceptionally well

Have you ever grown Hercules dill? Please tell us your favorite thing about it and your experiences growing Hercules dill.
