Here are some of the compounds in bell peppers:

Fiber: Bell peppers are high in fiber, which is essential for a healthy diet.

Iron: Iron helps transport oxygen in your red blood cells. One serving of bell peppers provides 3% of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA).

Potassium: Important for heart health.

Vitamin A: Your body needs vitamin A for healthy vision, cell growth, immune system health, and reproductive health.

Vitamin B6: This is an essential nutrient that supports metabolic health.

Vitamin C: The vitamin C in bell peppers is an antioxidant necessary for immune system and skin health. Green bell peppers have twice as much vitamin C as oranges; red and yellow bell peppers have four times as much! Maybe it’s time to switch up your breakfast routine and have a pepper instead of orange juice!
