The Poorman gooseberry is considered to be one of the very best gooseberries to grow in North America. The small berries start off green, then ripen to a lovely red, and you can eat them right off the bush. Serve in fresh fruit salad, as a topping for ice cream, or as a garnish for grilled fish.
