It comes as no surprise that tomatoes reign supreme in the hearts (and gardens) of our respondents, with a staggering 83% expressing their intention to cultivate this beloved crop. But that’s not all—bell peppers, cucumbers, basil, and a colorful array of veggies also made it to the top ten list of preferred plants.

When it comes to fruits, strawberries stole the spotlight, capturing the attention of 31% of our gardening aficionados. And while we’re on the topic of fruits, let’s not forget the tomato’s dual identity—it might be botanically classified as a fruit, but it remains a culinary superstar in the vegetable category.
Reflecting on the Past, Growing for the Future
In addition to peering into the future of gardening, our survey also prompted some reflective moments among respondents. Despite weather-related challenges, 42% expressed satisfaction with their previous year’s crops, a testament to the resilience and dedication of our gardening community.
