  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise, removing seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Dip each stuffed jalapeño into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the poppers on the prepared baking sheet, spray the tops with cooking spray, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Why Hot Peppers are the MVP of Super Bowl Snacks

Now, let’s talk about why hot peppers, especially jalapeños, are the reigning champs of Super Bowl snacks. The fiery kick adds an extra layer of excitement to the game-watching experience, keeping everyone on their toes. Plus, the heat is known to boost metabolism, so you can indulge guilt-free during the big game!

The Perfect Beverage Lineup

To wash down the heat, you’ll need the perfect beverage lineup. For those who enjoy a little kick, a cold beer, like a crisp lager or a hoppy IPA, is a classic choice. If you’re opting for a non-alcoholic option, a refreshing citrus soda or a sweet iced tea will balance the spice beautifully.
