Red Burgundy onions produce beautiful globes 3 to 4 inches across, with dark red skin. The flattened spheres have off-white flesh and red rings. This short day variety does well in southern gardens. Eat it fresh out of the garden—and plan to eat your harvest soon, since Red Burgundy does not store well.
