The Harrow Sweet pear is an early producer of high quality fruit. In the fall, these trees produce a heavy crop of medium to large yellow fruits with a red blush and a little bit of russeting. They are sweet and juicy with excellent flavor. Harrow Sweet pears are perfect for eating, canning, and preserves. Like other European pears, the Harrow Sweet needs a pollination buddy such as Bartlett or Moonglow. This cultivar is cold-hardy and very resistant to fire blight.
