Bluecrop is the most popular blueberry variety in the world! This spreading Northern Highbush variety grows upright and open. At maturity, it stands at about 5 to 6 feet tall with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. The Bluecrop prefers rich soil, constant moisture, and good drainage. But be careful: Bluecrop has shallow roots, so tread gently if you have other plantings in the area and weed carefully.

Have you grown Bluecrop blueberries? If so, please tell us about your experience with this variety of blueberry.
I have had blueberry bushes for 4 or 5 years now. They grow leaves and seem healthy, but they don’t flower or produce fruit. I keep them watered in summer, and fertilize with an acid loving fertilizer in mid spring. I am in zone 6a. My soil leans towards being neutral and is a sandy loam. I add composted leaves in fall. I use chives as a companion plant. What am I doing wrong? I want berries.
