Bedtime Tales StoryBook

An Invitation to Magical Bedtime Bliss

By Don Nicholas

AAs I pen down this article, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of the cozy nights from my childhood where bedtime stories were the portals to enchanting worlds. It’s with great excitement that I invite you to join me on a journey through the pages of my new collection of bedtime stories, a collection inspired by the magical tales woven by my father.

In the hushed moments of those childhood nights, it was my father’s voice that crafted the landscapes of my dreams. While my mother faithfully turned the worn pages of beloved books, it was my father who conjured stories from the depths of his imagination. These tales, some as familiar as cherished lullabies, others as fleeting as fireflies in the night, left an indelible mark on my soul.

A man of complexity, my father, a humble restaurant owner, carried within him the vastness of a well-read mind. Though he had only completed middle school, life’s circumstances led him to dedicate himself to providing for our family. His stories were mirrors reflecting his curious spirit, embodiments of cherished values, and the realization of a singular goal — to ensure his youngest son drifted into slumber with a heart full of wonder and a mind teeming with vivid dreams.

The tales he wove bore the imprints of his unique personality, offering glimpses into his unwavering love, wisdom, and belief in the magic hidden in the ordinary. Magic and happy endings intertwined like stars guiding us towards dreams as enchanting as they were serene.

Now, as I share these stories with you, it is with hope that they find a place in the hearts of those seeking a journey into the realms of imagination and wonder. Whether you have a young child in your life or have managed to preserve the child within yourself, these stories hold the power to inspire, teach, and illuminate the corners of your heart that crave the warmth of storytelling.

So, find your favorite reading nook, or gather your little ones close. Let these stories transport you to a world where anything is possible, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and where every bedtime promises a magical and enchanting dream. It is my sincere wish that these tales bring you the same sense of comfort, wonder, and joy that they brought me, nestled under my father’s loving gaze.

Here’s to good nights and even better dreams.

Warm regards,

Don Nicholas

How blessed you were to have a father like this and the blessing continues in his son! You are my favorite writer, Don! I love your stories and your beautiful way of writing and expressing them in a different way, compared to what we are all used to from before. God Bless you and may your words live on forever, and they can….on paper!

Green Prints is always a delight to receive and has been for many years. My 91 year old mother can’t wait to get it and I enjoy the stories and reading to her. Thank you for all the memories.
