Delightful Donut Casserole

I absolutely love donuts. I am famous for my pumpkin donut recipe, I own a pair of pants with donuts on them, and instead of a wedding cake, my husband and I served up hot, fresh assorted fried donuts! So when there is a way to combine them with more cinnamon and butter, sign  me up!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly coat an 8 × 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. For the casserole: Place the donut holes in the baking dish. Combine the butter, sugar, egg, cinnamon, and vanilla in a small bowl and sprinkle over the donut holes.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes.
  4. For the topping: While the casserole bakes, combine all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  5. Remove the casserole from the oven and top with the sugar mixture. Bake for another 10 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly before serving.
