Ingredients
Scale
1 pound Brussels sprouts, cleaned, trimmed, and cut in half
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat a large skillet and add the oil.
Add Brussels sprouts, cut side down.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until the sprouts are golden on the bottom.
Add 1 cup of water and cover skillet.
Let the Brussels sprouts steam until they’re tender, about 3 minutes. Add more water a tablespoon at a time if the skillet seems dry.
Take sprouts out of the skillet and set aside.
Put vinegar, honey, mustard, and garlic in a bowl. Whisk to combine.
Add the mixture to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook until it’s syrupy, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Return the Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Toss to coat and reheat, about 3 minutes.
