Instead of buying paprika this year, grow your own suitable paprika peppers to make your own!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the red bell peppers.
  3. Cut the peppers into strips, removing seeds and membranes.
  4. Place the strips on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 6-8 hours or until the peppers are completely dried.
  6. Once dried, grind the peppers into a fine powder using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.
  7. Store your homemade paprika in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
