  2. In a large bowl, gently toss the peach slices with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into a 9-inch baking dish.

  4. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture. Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
