When you have leftover Honey Barbecue Chicken  Poppers,  make sure to come back to this recipe. It’s great to have in your back pocket when your kids invite friends over and you want to give them a quick treat. Since it uses ready-made chicken nuggets and mini toaster waffles, the hardest thing you will have to do is whip up the spicy maple drizzle. Just be sure to make a few extra because you’ll want some too!

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the maple sauce. Add the sriracha sauce and stir well. Simmer for 2 minutes and then remove from the heat. Taste and adjust the spice level, if necessary.
  2. Toast the mini waffles according to the package directions.
  3. Reheat the Honey Barbecue Chicken Poppers if necessary.
  4. To serve, separate the mini waffles and place a Popper on top of ten of them. Drizzle generously with the spicy syrup. Top with the remaining waffle to create mini sandwiches.
