Add all the above, except the orange, to a slow cooker over low heat until hot. I like to use a slow cooker so that you can keep the blackberry mulled wine hot and serve it up easily.
Add the orange at the end for about 15 minutes before serving— the rind can make it bitter if you let it cook the whole time.
Serve in a mug, garnished with fresh blackberries and oranges.
Notes
If you don’t have a slow cooker, or simply want to make it on the stove, simply bring to a simmer over low heat for an hour, and be careful not to boil it.
